We had the first nice weekend in a while and made sure to take advantage of it. There wasn't much celebrating here for the Forth and we decided to take a little hike up to a WWII site called Blunt's Point. It's a high ground with a good vantage point for protecting Pago Pago harbor which was home to a Navy base back then.
It was a rather short hike, just over half a mile to the first looking point. The trail continued up to other structures, but these areas have not been cleared for the same views.
The first and second "areas" on the trail each had a large "gun"... not sure if that's the appropriate term... munitions launcher? Anyway here it is...
We also took a trip to Two Dollar Beach to enjoy the sun.
Dad did a little snorkeling and saw something new, a Bigfin Reef Squid. Pretty cool watching it swim around, they are sometimes confused for Cuttlefish because of the fin running down their body, but it's a squid.
